Musicians are treated very seriously and given the whole picture. they are normally white men on the cover pictured like rock Gods. the artist taking the centre stage means that they have the full attention of the reader, and so the interests like to buy the magazine to learn about this brilliant figure on the front. there is never anything obstructing their face, anything else is to the side or beneath them.
