Statement of Intent

 

Women are under represented

 In the Observer magazines from the 60s we see that Women are under represented. This reflects the current patriarchy society of the time. This value from the time is shown with the Lingerie adverts in the bottom corners of the magazines. This makes them seem weak and insignificant as they are not represented in politics or affairs of the state. Another under representation of Women can be seen with he pull quote "Jackie: we're very happy". This is from Jackie Kennedy being remarried and is her defending her second marriage. She is only here because she was married to JFK.

Finally, another underrepresentation of Women is that only one female politician is mention on the cover. This is Barbara Castle, she was part of the Labour government during the 60s. She was part of the support for the workers strikes also mention in the article. She is not here for her achievements but rather for her unusualness of being a female politician.

Teenage dirt bags colour and saturation is quite bright and vibrant like that of a middle America sitcom

The uses of the camera work gives the viewer the impression of that both the band and the lyrics of the story are in shot. Only choruses does the camera focus on the artists like the pans in the chorus.

Editing makes the band seem like they are  part of the story which is the lyrics themselves with jumps between them both. both merge together at

Nick Cave Media magazine

 The picture of Nick cave is a stereotypical representation of older people facing an uncertain future

A pull quote says "there are a lot of grievers out there"

Nick Cave is presented and stoic and dark and sturdy in the image making him seem weathered

Lego Movie posters

 The Ensemble poster:

This poster has the main character Emmet front and centre to connote his importance. To his left is Wyldstyle, she is quite prominent in the poster and is meant to be a role model to young girls. To Emmet's right is Batman, this shows evidence of Warner being a conglomerate because Batman is part of the Detective Comics (DC) Franchise.

Vitruvius poster:

At the top of the paper it says: "Morgan Freeman is Vitruvius". This connotes a sense of warmth and reassurance to the older audience as they know Morgan Freeman usually plays the God character and has a very soothing and relaxing voice.

Summary (Final Cut)

 I am doing the hobby website brief. This hobby website is to be on the sport of mountain biking. So far I have started the design of my website on WIX and have shot footage for the 45 second video, you will see some clips further down the blog. I have also come up with some dummy titles for articles as well as my proper title. the title for my blog is going to be "The Way Down".

Lighting and positioning

 Lighting can be used to emphasise certain angles of the frame and portray the person as moody edgy or as warm and kind. They can make them seem like they are hiding something or are suspicious of someone else. If someone was off centre it can give off a different aura than that of some in centre. the same can be said for zoom levels.

What I have Learnt

 Today I have learnt that the shots that I need to get are wide angle and make exciting shots. I must also find away to make my Idea apealing and exciting. In the Lesson I worked on my website and the dummy titles. I cannot link the website due to it not being ready for publishing yet. Thanks Mrs Mann
